Nokha and her husband are raising their 5 year old daughter in Meadowvale. Her mom, a senior citizen, often stays with her in our community. Her husband's parents who are also seniors live in the southern part of our neighbourhood. Ensuring we have a family friendly community for our children and seniors is a personal priority for Nokha. Nokha made crucial decisions to manage a $2 billion budget at the Peel District School Board. She served on the Budget Development Committee for several years where they invested in key priorities while running balanced budgets. As a local property taxpayer, she understands the importance of keeping taxes reasonable especially at a time when inflation is rising and families are having to make tough decisions with their household budgets. She will bring fiscal discipline to City Hall including:
